Ship type switch, also known as rocker switch. Its structure is the same as that of a toggle switch, except that the handle is replaced with a boat shaped one. Ship type switches are commonly used as power switches for electronic devices, with contacts divided into single pole single throw and double pole double throw types, and some switches also have indicator lights.
Switch type
Single pole single throw: 1 moving contact and 1 stationary contact. There is only one channel available
Single pole double throw: 1 moving contact and 2 stationary contacts, (can connect the stationary contacts on both sides separately)
Double pole single throw, 2 moving contacts and 2 stationary contacts, with 2 channels
Double knife double throw, 2 moving contacts and 4 stationary contacts, with 4 channels (can connect the 2 stationary contacts on both sides separately)
Application scope
Ship type switches are widely used in water dispensers, treadmills, computer speakers, electric scooters, motorcycles, ion TVs, coffee makers, power banks, massage machines, and other household appliances.
Testing method for the service life of ship type switches
The main test is to determine the number of opening and closing cycles until damage occurs. If manual operation is not required, a small motor can be used to drive the eccentric opening and closing switch, and a counter can be used to record the number of cycles!
Precautions for use
The specific application of waterproof ship type switches is constrained by many factors, such as installation methods and product installation directions, airflow, pressure differentials acting on the product, strength of fluid rebound, and working voltage; wait. Even though the sealing performance of the waterproof boat type switch is excellent and its sealing technology has reached a leading level, it does not mean that the switch is completely sealed, and it still needs to prevent the invasion of corrosive gases or substances.
